KPV

KPV is the tripeptide Lys-Pro-Val, corresponding to the C-terminal residues (11–13) of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH). It retains the anti-inflammatory signalling activity associated with α-MSH in experimental models and is taken up into intestinal epithelial cells via the PepT1 transporter.
